LOG CABIN - 1980. The log cabin was patterned after the small pioneer park in Yosemite at Wawona. I fell in love with the ambiance of the log structures and decided for the first house I would use logs, and it would serve later as a guest house. This is the front view looking toward Sequoia from the original design deck which was on several levels. To the left on the porch two of my dearest friends, Justine and Larry Fixel, who would come down from San Francisco for the weekend.
