THE MAIN TERRACE - Oriented north and south, it serves as the platform for the canyon corridor, a sculpture exhibition area, and an entertainment area for large gatherings. We've had catered dinners for 500 guests here. Its a grand place for fund raising for the University scholarships, the San Joaquin River Parkway project, the Valley Children's Hospital , and the Fresno Art Museum. There are 21 Drake elms that shade this terrace from the summer heat, and it is normally 15 degrees cooler here than on other parts of the hill. It is the most sheltered part of the hill.
